006: Ground Beef Battery

In this episode, “Ground Beef Battery,” we’ve got a full plate of strange news that you’re not going to believe—starting with the case of an Ohio woman arrested for using a 10-pound log of ground beef as a weapon in a Walmart assault. That’s right—police responded to a disturbance in the potato chip aisle and ended up charging a woman with assault after she repeatedly struck her former neighbor in the face with prepackaged meat. Only at Walmart, right?
Then I dig into the horrifying case of a Washington man who confessed to a double homicide and left a severed head in the backseat and body parts in the trunk. From there, things somehow get weirder. A Florida man tried to invoke the "stand your ground" law after beating an iguana to death—because of course he did. Spoiler alert: it didn’t work.
I also explore some of the most bizarre things ever sold online, from a Harambe-shaped Cheeto and a human soul, to celebrity air and belly button lint. Speaking of uncomfortable airspace, a Southwest Airlines pilot was caught watching porn and exposing himself mid-flight. Yes, in the cockpit.
We round out the episode with PETA demanding people stop using “animal insults” like “chicken” or “pig,” and I give you my take on that truly cringeworthy campaign video.
